The Feldhagen Foundation is a grantmaking institution that supports qualified organisations through strategic and sustainable funding. Rather than operating its own programs, the Foundation allocates resources to trusted partners who are aligned with our mission and values.
Grant recipients are selected based on alignment with our mission, proven capacity to deliver impact, and adherence to ethical and governance standards. All projects are reviewed by our internal advisory committee.

We only support organisations that match the following criteria

Our endowment ensures that today’s support becomes tomorrow’s legacy.
What We Support
The Feldhagen Foundation provides support exclusively to organizations and initiatives that reflect our values of sustainability, legacy, and transformative social investment. We fund:
What We Don’t Support
To maintain clarity of mission and focus, the Feldhagen Foundation generally does not support:
✔️ Registered nonprofit institutions or mission-driven organizations with clearly defined public benefit objectives
✔️ Initiatives focused on child and youth development (ages 0–25)
✔️ Projects that strengthen families and promote intergenerational wellbeing
✔️ Organizations operating within our strategic areas of interest, including Niterói, regions of historical significance to the House of Feldhagen, and philanthropic corridors connected to our founding partners
✔️ Programs with a clear theory of change, preferably with early intervention strategies that promote long-term impact
✔️ Both core operational costs and program-specific initiatives, where alignment and measurable impact are evident
✖️ Capital expenses in isolation, without strategic alignment or sustainability framework
✖️ Requests from individuals, including those related to personal education, bursaries, or one-off scholarships
✖️ School-specific projects, including those that benefit only a single institution or audience
✖️ Recreational trips, holiday camps or respite-focused initiatives
✖️ Initiatives with overtly political, sectarian or proselytizing agendas
✖️ Event-based sponsorships, including gifts or auction items
✖️ Projects focused on specific medical conditions or medical research
✖️ Organizations that have applied unsuccessfully within the previous 12 months
Grant Programmes
The Feldhagen Foundation operates through a curated and strategic grantmaking model.
We have three grant giving programmes:

Geographies of Relevance
-
Niterói and the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro
→ The city of origin of the Feldhagen Trust and home to its founding operations.
-
Strategic corridors of philanthropic partnership
→ Locations where allied institutions, family offices or long-term collaborators are active, whether in Brazil or abroad.
-
Communities connected to our core themes
→ Particularly where programs in youth development, family strengthening, or institutional empowerment are established.
A Feldhagen Foundation focuses its support on select regions where its mission can be pursued with depth and continuity. These include:
